The Gulfstar facility is a classic spar located in the Mississippi Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico in Block MC 724. The facility is owned by Williams (51% and operator) and Marubeni (49%). Construction began after April 2011, when Hess announced that Tubular Bells (MC 725) (see separate analysis) would be tied-back to the facility.
