Report summary
The Hangingstone development is located in the Athabasca oil sands region of Alberta, 50 kilometres southwest of Fort McMurray. Japan Canada Oil Sands (JACOS) had started the Hangingstone Demonstration (Demo/Pilot) Project as a pilot in the area in 1999. The Pilot facility was operated and solely-owned by JACOS.
