Our Houston-based team ran a 75 minute panel on shale analytics at our annual Houston Energy Forum last week. Rising costs and degrading sweet spot productivity drive the critical need for advanced analytics. The conversation on analytics often remains conceptual, but our four speakers discussed real solutions: the most current web scraping techniques to better benchmark completion design evolution, the importance of combining that with detailed reservoir data, and ultimately how machine learning is revolutionising all types of field planning and well analytics.
