Report summary

On 29 May 2017, Husky sanctioned the West White Rose Project offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, making it the first major project sanction in the area since 2012. T he project is estimated to cost a total of Cdn$5.2 billion and ultimately recover 180 million barrels of light oil . First oil is expected in 2022, with peak production of 75,000 b/d occurring in 2025. In the same news release,Husky announced a new oil discovery at Northwest White Rose, approximately 11 kilometres away from the SeaRose FPSO.
