Husky sells Saskatchewan assets to Whitecap Resources for US$460 million
Report summary
On 10 May 2016, Husky announced a deal to sell a portion of its oil producing Saskatchewan portfolio and surrounding infrastructure to Whitecap Resources. The US$460 million (Cdn$595 million) cash deal will be funded through a combination of an existing credit facility and a concurrently completed Cdn$470 million bought-deal equity financing. The deal provides Whitecap with 11,600 boe/d of liquids weighted production (98%), in addition to a well established infrastructure network.
