Indonesia goes big with 2018 licensing round
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Less than a month after the conclusion of its 2017 exploration bid round, Indonesia launched its 2018 exploration bid round on 19 February 2018, offering 24 conventional and two unconventional blocks. It offers a mix of onshore, shallow-water, and deepwater, near-infrastructure and frontier acreage. All will be under the new Gross Split PSC terms. Due to the long exploration history of the country, most of the blocks offered are previously-relinquished acreage, with seismic and well data available. We provide an overview of the blocks on offer and the 11 other ongoing licensing rounds competing for the exploration investment.
