The LUKOIL-operated Kandim-Khauzak-Shadi (KKS) PSC is Uzbekistan's key source of recent upstream investment and gas production growth. It includes two separate areas in the Amu Darya basin: the Khauzak-Shadi gas field and the large Kandim gas field and its six satellites. Raw gas production has plateaued at about 1,000 mmcfd (10.3 bcm a year).
