Report summary

The Kangean PSC is a large, scattered block that stretches across the Kangean archipelago to the east of Madura Island and north of Bali. It incorporates several commercial gas discoveries including the Pagerungan, Terang, Sirasun and Batur fields. Gas from the Pagerungan field was first delivered in 1994 to Surabaya in East Java. It was the first major gas field in Indonesia that was developed solely by a foreign operator for the domestic market. A second development project began production in 2012 with first gas from the Terang field. A further phase of development will see the Sirasun and Batur fields begin production in 2017
