The Kazgermunai (KGM) JV operates several oil fields in the South Turgai basin, with most production from the Akshabulak deposits. KGM is 50%-owned by state-run NC KazMunaiGas (NC KMG) and 50% by PetroKazakhstan, the basin's dominant operator.
