Kenya is a frontier oil and gas country with no current production. Tullow Oil opened up the country's onshore plays by making the first oil discovery in the onshore North-Central Gregory Rift basin in 2012. Since then, Tullow and partners Africa Oil Corp. and TotalEnergies confirmed over 550 million barrels of oil across the South Lokichar Field.
