Report summary
The giant Kharasaveiskoye gas field lies on the Yamal Peninsula in northern West Siberia. A portion of the field also extends offshore, under the Kara Sea. The field is part of the high profile Bovanenkovo Production Zone within Gazprom's Yamal Megaproject which aims to bring into production huge gas reserves from the neighbouring Bovanenkovskoye and Kruzenshternskoye fields.Kharasaveiskoye is the second largest Gazprom-operated field on the Yamal Peninsula, after Bovanenkovskoye.
