Kodiak (MC 771) is a subsalt, middle Miocene oil and gas discovery located in the southern portion of the Mississippi Canyon protraction area. The field was discovered by BP in 2008 but is now operated by Kosmos Energy. Kodiak is developed as a subsea tie-back to the nearby Devils Tower Spar. The field began production in February 2016 from one well, and a second well came online in February 2021.
