Kongnan

Report summary

The Kongnan PSC incorporates reserves previously discovered by CNPC, and involves the development of the waxy oil contained in the low permeability reservoirs of the Kongnan oilfield. A pilot testing phase involving the drilling of new development wells and the workover of existing producers was completed in 2001. An original overall development plan (ODP) was approved in 2003. As a result of poor drilling performance, the ODP was renegotiated and modified.
