Report summary
In 2014, exploration drilling and reserves discovered in Latin America both dropped to ten-year lows. In recent years, Brazil had accounted for the overwhelming majority of newly discovered volumes, but in 2014, reserves discovered in Brazil were just a fraction of the country's ten-year average. The only countries in Latin America with year-on-year increases in reserves discovered were Colombia, Argentina, and Paraguay, with potential play-opening discoveries in Colombia and Paraguay.
