The McArthur River offshore gas field was developed in the mid-1960s and is located approximately 10 kilometres off the west coast of the Cook Inlet. It is one of the largest fields in the region with substantial oil and gas reserves, having been onstream since 1967. McArthur River is also the largest offshore field to have been developed in the basin. There are two different fields developed at McArthur River, one oil and one gas, each with historically a different ownership structure. ...
