Meseda is an onshore oil field located in the Eastern Desert, adjacent to TransGlobe Energy's West Bakr fields. The field was discovered in 2011 and quickly brought onstream via its discovery well, Meseda-H. Since then, production has ramped up steadily, averaging over 5,000 b/d until 2015. Dublin Petroleum operates the field in partnership with SDX Energy under a risked service contract, following SDX's merger with Madison Petrogas in August 2015. Meseda produces crude with a gravity of around 20°API, and has mostly produced under primary recovery with the aid of Electric Submersible Pumps (ESPs). Oil is trucked to Zeit Bay.
