Report summary
The Miquetla block includes five fields in Mexico's Chicontepec basin: Miquetla, Palo Blanco, Coyol, Santiago and Agua Nacida. Initially, in 2013, the block was awarded as a service contract to Diavaz. By 2018, the fields had been migrated to a license contract. The duration of the new contract is 30 years with the option to extend for two periods of five years each.The fields are located in coastal east-central Mexico and used to be part of the Chicontepec business unit.
