The Miskar gas field is located offshore Tunisia, in the Gulf of Gabes. The field was discovered by Elf (now TotalEnergies) in 1975 but remained undeveloped due to a limited domestic gas market. BG (now Shell) brought it onstream in 1996.Gas is produced via three offshore platforms and piped onshore to the Shell-operated Hannibal gas processing plant (GPP).
