Mississippi Canyon 161 is a small dry gas field located in the northern part of the Mississippi Canyon protraction area in the Central Gulf of Mexico. The field has been developed as a single-well subsea tie-back to the Stone Energy-operated (now Talos Energy) Pompano facility in VK 989, 16 kilometres (10 miles) to the northwest.
