Montney and the importance of liquids in the 2020s
Report summary
Montney operators have been shifting the majority of their activity to liquids-rich acreage since 2016. Natural gas liquids production, in particular condensate, underpin the resilience of Montney drilling economics. Tracking down Montney liquids production data has been difficult though, as the majority of liquids production is not reported at the well level. In this insight we address this issue and provide a clear picture of which plays, subplays and operators are producing condensate in the Montney and WCSB.
