Asset Report
Moquawkie
Report summary
The Moquawkie area is located on the eastern side of Alaska's Cook Inlet, eight kilometres from the Nicolai Creek gas field. The Moquawkie field was discovered and brought onstream by Mobil in 1965, but production was short-lived before the field was shut in due to water intrusion. The re-drilling and recompletion of the Moquawkie # 1 well has led to commercialisation of the gas reserves.
