Myanmar's offshore licensing round - A Majors success?
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
On 27 March 2014, Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) announced the provisional award of ten shallow water and ten deepwater blocks from its first offshore bid round. The majors and large international oil companies (IOCs) were the big winners, with proven players such as BG, Woodside and Shell, leading the way. Asian national oil companies have material acreage holdings in Myanmar, but were less successful in the round, as MOGE achieved its aim of diversifying its corporate landscape.
