Report summary

In 2012, African Petroleum drilled the deepwater Narina-1 exploration well which encountered good quality oil in Cretaceous turbidites, and was the first discovery in the country. Bee Eater-1 was the second exploration well to be drilled on the Narina field, though only resulted in oil shows.Narina is located offshore on Block LB-9, around 180 kilometres southeast of Monrovia. The find was significant because it confirmed the Jubilee play extends from Ghana and de-risked the Liberian Basin. ...
