Niakuk (Prudhoe Bay Unit)
Report summary
The Niakuk field began production from the Cretaceous Kuparuk River Formation in 1994. The field is situated less than two kilometres offshore in the Beaufort Sea, between the Prudhoe Bay and Endicott fields. The Raven oil pool lies beneath Niakuk and is also included in this analysis. Raven produces from the Ivishak and Sag River Formations and began production in 2005. Both fields are satellites of Prudhoe Bay.
