The North El Amriya/North Idku (NEA/NI) development area comprises two blocks, North Idku and North El Amriya, located offshore Egypt in the Nile Delta. Four Pliocene wet gas fields - North Idku 1-4 - were discovered on the block between 1999 and 2002. In December 2020, Energean acquired Edison E&P for a consideration of US$284 million (nominal), with an effective date of 1 January 2019. Energean sanctioned the project in January 2021.
