OML 79 is located in the western delta and has two producing fields EA and EJA which are located in water depths of 15 to 30 metres. The fields provide the only offshore production from the Shell/NNPCL JV. The initial development used an alternative funding arrangement whereby NNPC'Ls capital costs were carried by Shell and Eni.
