OML 86 is a shallow water block in the central Niger Delta. It has six fields, four of which have been developed. North Apoi and Funiwa still produce oil but are nearing depletion. Crude from OML 86 was exported by pipelines to the Oloibiri Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel. The FSO was located 30 kilometres offshore due to the shallow water across OML 86.
