Orlen buys as KUFPEC exits Norway
Report summary
On 20 November 2023, PGNiG (the Norwegian arm of the ORLEN Group) announced it had entered into an agreement to buy KUFPEC Norway, a subsidiary of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, for US$445 million. KUFPEC Norway comes with ~US$80 million of net cash as at the January 2023 effective date, resulting in a net acquisition price of US$365 million.
