Pemex confirmed the discovery of a large condensate and gas deposit in the onshore Quesqui field located in the southern state of Tabasco, Mexico. Pemex estimates place Quesqui at 500 mmboe in 3P reserves. Further appraisal is needed to confirm the size of the discovery. Initial production tests yielded average production of 4,478 b/d of condensates and 16.3 mmcfd of gas. Pemex is expecting to reach 69,000 b/p of condensate, as well as 300 mmcfd of natural gas production for the field next year.
