Report summary
The original Sepat gas discovery, made in 1970 by Exxon, has remained undeveloped due to the reservoir's high CO2 content. However, the Sepat Deep-1 well, drilled in 2003 on unlicenced acreage by Petronas Carigali, encountered a deeper oil rim, underlying the main gas-bearing reservoir.
