The Areia Branca cluster is composed of two fields in the Potiguar Basin. The cluster was owned by Duna Energia S.A., and 3R Petroleum acquired all shares issued by the company in August 2021. With the acquisition, 3R Petroleum (currently Brava Energia) incorporated the Redonda and Ponta do Mel fields into its portfolio, focusing on the strategy of taking advantage of synergies between the Areia Branca cluster and the other clusters owned by the company in the same basin.
