Report summary
Twenty-three projects have been sanctioned in 2026 to date. The projects represent US$96 billion of committed investment, which is already above 2025’s US$90 billion, and are looking to develop around 15 billion boe of reserves. Up to 10 further projects could take FID by the end of 2026. While unlikely, this would add another US$70 billion of committed capex.
