On 3 November 2015, Range Resources (Range) announced that it had signed a definitive agreement for the sale of its Southern Appalachia assets to EnerVest for a consideration of US$876 million. These assets include 465,000 net acres in the Nora and Haysi fields in western Virginia and West Virginia including 3,500 operated wells and a 100% interest in an associated gathering system.
