Report summary
Sakakemang PSC contains the Kali Berau Dalam (KBD) gas discovery onshore South Sumatra. Preliminary assessment of the KBD discovery suggested recoverable resource of at least 2 tcf, held in a fracture basement reservoir. The resource size was subsequently downgraded to 474 bcf after appraisals. The current Plan of Development (POD), approved in January 2024 includes an integrated carbon capture and storage (CCCS) facility to handle the field's 26% CO2 content. FEED was awarded to Indonesian company PT Synergy Engineering in May 2024 and the operator is now seeking an EPC contractor.
