Salsabil
Report summary
The Salsabil (formerly Rodho) field, located in the Safed Koh block, was discovered by OGDC in 1975, but was considered sub-commercial and subsequently abandoned. In 2005, Dewan Petroleum and partners deepened two existing wells and discovered a significant gas column in the Lower Goru formation. Following the success, the partners submitted a development plan to the Pakistani authorities, which was approved in January 2006. We have attributed reserves to two distinct reservoirs, Lower Goru and Chiltan, within the Salsabil field. The Chiltan accounts for a significant part of the total field volumes.
