Senegal's emerging oil and gas sector: planning for a sustainable future

Report summary

Wood Mackenzie recently visited Dakar, to meet several key stakeholders invested in Senegal’s upstream sector and deepen our understanding of one of Sub-Saharan Africa's rising stars. Building on key stakeholder feedback, we focus on core themes central to Senegal's growing oil and gas sector - operational stability, future planning, the energy transition, and upstream developments. The outlook for Senegal is largely positive but will not be without its challenges as the government seeks to capitalise on recent hydrocarbon discoveries.
