Chesapeake recently announced the sale of the majority of its Permian assets in three separate transactions. The company sold its north Delaware Basin properties to Chevron, its south Delaware Basin properties to Shell, and a portion of its Midland Basin properties to EnerVest. The three deals have a combined consideration of US$3.3 Billion. Of its original 1.5 million acre Permian position, Chesapeake will retain 470,000 net acres in the Midland Basin for future development or sale. ...
