The Solan oil field lies 150 kilometres west of the Shetland Islands and 35 kilometres south of the Schiehallion field. Solan underperformed against initial expectations. It was brought onstream in 2016 following a five-year delay. Reservoir heterogeneity and restricted water injection rates led to poor reservoir performance.
