Somoil has agreed to buy Galp Energia's non-operated Angolan assets for a total consideration of US$830 million. Galp's portfolio includes interests in Block 14, Block 14K and Block 32. It is the latest acquisition in a busy 12 months for Somoil, as the ambitious indigenous player looks to become a leading integrated player in Angola and West Africa.
