Strategic ventures (SVs) – stand-alone entities, part-owned by larger oil and gas companies, but financially and operationally independent of the group – are posited as a solution for transition-related stakeholder conflict and undervaluation. The Euromajors are at the forefront, creating SVs across all segments of their businesses – the likes of Aker BP (a BP SV), Vår Energi (Eni), Raízen (Shell), and Adani Green Energy Limited (TotalEnergies).
