Strategy Update: Lundin Capital Markets Day 2020
Report summary
The highlight of Lundin Petroleum’s strategy day was the introduction of a new decarbonization strategy, along with a proposed name change to ‘Lundin Energy’. Lundin has set a target to be carbon neutral across its upstream operations by 2030, the first E&P to lay out a road map for carbon neutrality. Capital discipline, improving balance sheet strength and organic growth remain the corner stones of Lundin’s strategy. Competitive shareholder returns are also now part of the investment proposition. Lundin announced a 22% increase in its dividend and its dividend yield is now a peer leading 5%.
