Kosmos' Guembeul discovery was the highlight of the month. It proved the extension of the Ahmeyim field into Senegalese waters, further raising the profile of the Senegal Bove Basin. In Equatorial Guinea, Schlumberger farmed into Fortuna LNG by acquiring a 40% stake from Ophir, whilst a surge in violence and pipeline vandalism in Nigeria compounded criticisms against President Buhari.
