Sub-Saharan Africa upstream: 5 things to look for in 2018
Report summary
After a busy year in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2017, we look ahead to 2018 and the five key themes to look out for. Africa's first FLNG project will come onstream next year and we assess progress expected across other regional projects, as Africa continues to be at the global forefront of FLNG. We also look at the most anticipated Sub-Saharan exploration wells for 2018, new production in West and Central Africa, and pick assets that we think may change hands in the next 12 months. 2018 will also be the last chance for fiscal reform in Nigeria and South Africa before next year's elections. We take a look at the progress to be made and the likelihood of changes being passed.
