The resurging FPSO market: winners and losers
Report summary
The industry downturn was brutal for FPSO contractors. But the FPSO market is turning the corner, supported by the increase in deepwater FIDs. We expect 20 new FPSOs will be required in the next 24 months, with Brazil and Guyana accounting for about half of demand. FPSO contractors like SBM and Modec are well positioned to benefit from the upturn. But the near-term outlook is not encouraging for others.
