Petrogas NEO UK Ltd is acquiring a portfolio of UK assets from Total for US$635 million. The buyer, a joint venture between NEO E&P (an investment platform owned by private equity fund HitecVision) and Omani oil group Petrogas (owned by MB Holding Group), is a new entrant to the UK North Sea. The combination of Petrogas and HitecVision represents another tranche of new investment in the region and advances the ever-changing corporate landscape in the UK upstream sector.
