Turangi Area
Report summary
The Turangi block comprises the Turangi, Ohanga, Onaero, and Urenui gas-condensate fields. Located in northern Taranaki, Turangi is adjacent to the Kowhai block. Greymouth Petroleum operates both Turangi and Kowhai using separate facilities. Turangi, the largest and the most developed field on the block, is located on the same structural trend as the neighbouring Mangahewa and Pohokura fields. Since 2019, Greymouth has successfully increased sales gas production by drilling development wells on the field.
