The Uch field is one of the largest gas fields in Pakistan. It is located in the Balochistan province in the prolific Middle Indus Basin, close to other giant gas discoveries such as Sui and Mari. Despite being discovered in 1955 and containing a large volume of gas, Uch's low calorific content meant that development was a lower priority than other fields in the Middle Indus Basin.
