Schlumberger and Weatherford jointly create OneStim. The new company may prove a serious competitive threat to Halliburton in the North America completions space. Oklahoma regulators are considering legislation that could expand the use of extended laterals, boosting the potential of the Northern STACK. Remember, some Anadarko Basin assets have breakevens that make Permian operators envious.  In West Texas though, concerns over potential gas takeaway constraints may be softening with Kinder Morgan testing the waters for a proposed 1.7 bcfd connection to Gulf Coast demand centers. In other pipeline news, President Trump formally approves Keystone XL but other hurdles persist.
