The West El Burullus (WEB) fields are located 65 kilometres northeast of Alexandria in the offshore Nile Delta. Two gas and condensate fields, WEB and Papyrus, were discovered in the shallow water area in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In 2017, PICO (now Cheiron) completed the acquisition of Engie's stake in WEB, giving it a 100% interest in the asset.
