Woodside near-term strategy has focused on maximising value from its existing assets and resources. The start-up of Wheatstone LNG 1&2 and Greater Western Flank Phase 2 strengthened the near-term cash flow outlook. Focus is now shifting to delivering the next phase of growth. Woodside plans to sanction SNE (2019), Scarborough/Pluto LNG expansion (2020) and Browse (2020). Its bold growth ambition is clear and leverages on its core LNG strengths. But delivering complex back-to-back projects will stretch its project execution capabilities.
